Before Southwest Builders became the area’s leader in construction and demolition, owner Richard Iafeliece ran a successful cleaning company in Ohio. Wanting to escape the harsh winters of the midwest, he relocated to up and coming Cape Coral, Florida. Along with his wife and business partner, Maureen Iafeliece, they decided to capitalize on the area’s growth and opened Extreme Care, a construction clean-up and roll-off container company. As the cleaning company grew and services expanded, the two entrepreneurs decided to purchase Southwest Builders, Inc.
Today, owners Rich and Maureen, along with their daughter Tiana Kaufmann and an extraordinary staff continue to be one of the leading construction companies on the west coast of Florida. We perfected an innovative approach to home design and construction, keeping all phases in-house and maintaining open communication with our clients. Not only does this approach guarantee a consistent, top-quality product but also ensures each client’s vision is realized.

With over 100 years combined experience, they have been handed some of the most challenging demos in our area and completed them safely and accurately.
